The Fender teleaster is one of the most popular electric guitars in the world. It is is a simple, straighforward electic guitar with a fixed bridge and two single coil pickups, that is most often used for rhythm playing. It was also one of the first widely avaiable solid body guitars, originally called 'The Broadcaster' which was introduced in 1950. It became the Telecaster in 1951.

Players love these guitars for their raw, no frills, big tone. Famous rhythm players incude Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen. Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead who plays an early 90s Telecaster Plus is a creative guitarist that playes both rhythm and lead. Roy Buchanan, Albert Collins and James Burton are all great players from yesteryear, and one of the most under-rated of them all, Danny Gatton, who could 'outplay'

most guitarists in their own style!

I used to own this early 90s Telecaster Plus (pictured below) This is a very rare model with a humbucking pickup, and a floating tremolo. Not a typical Telecaster!
