Great Guitars-Gretsch Duo Jet

You may not have heard of these guitars very much as their popularity is not as grand as say a Gibson Les Paul or a Fender Stratocaster. However, I have recently discovered the Silver Jet (guitar pictured) and find incredibly inspiring to play. For complex, chimey, sparkly clean tones, I don't think you could get much better than a vintage or Japanese made Gretsch with dynasonic pickups. I don't know how these pickups aren't more popular in the popular music idiom?!

Having said that they are played by guitar legends such as David Gilmour (but with the filtertron pickups I believe) and Jeff Beck. (But not as their main guitar). George Harrison also used one on many Beatles recordings and for live work also. There is also a George Harrison signature Duo Jet model available. Try one out and tell me that it isn't a clean sound to die for!
