This week, I am featuring the Fender Telecaster. The Telecaster was originally called the Broadcaster and was Fender's (and the world's) first successful mass production guitar released in 1950. The original shape hasn't changed to this day. (Why re-invent the wheel when it rolls!?) But the models have developed over the years. Different pickups, woods and hardware change the look and the sound of the guitar. Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones is probably the most famous Telecaster player.
The Telecaster pictured below is a Telecaster Plus Deluxe from 1991. It was a high end and most expensive model of the time. Playing a Telecaster should be experienced by all guitarists!
